Eric Brandt was born and raised in Santa Rosa and became interested in bikes at a young age. He began racing his bike in college while also working as a mechanic in a campus bike shop. While attending UC Davis he began volunteering as a race mechanic for Mavic. For the past dozen years he’s worked as a teacher by day and as a neutral support mechanic for Shimano on weekends and all summer. He’s worked at over two hundred races, including thirty national championship events, stage races across the country, and international events such as the Pan-American Games and several World Championships. Eric is excited to help Team Swift members become more confident in working on their own bikes.
